Whether at the FIFA eClub World Cup, eNations Cup or eWorld Cup, we’re familiar with the capabilities of eFootball’s elite players – from ‘F2Tekkz’ and ‘MsDossary7’ to ‘Nicolas99fc’, ‘DaXe’ and ‘Maestro’. But how do professional footballers fare at EA SPORTS FIFA 19?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe are popular choices in many FIFA pros’ squads, but how would they shape up when playing the game itself?

We asked some of the leading eFootballers who are the best on-field professionals they have come up against on EA SPORTS FIFA – some of which have even got the better of leading eFootball players when swapping their boots for controllers!

A professional eFootballer with Ajax and two-time eWorld Cup Grand Finalist, top ten Xbox player ‘Dani’ has tested himself against many Ajax stars on EA SPORTS FIFA 19. But which one proved himself to be the best? The Dutchman reveals all.

"I’ve played Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt, Donny van de Beek, Kasper Dolberg, Hakim Ziyech, and Justin Kluivert when he was at Ajax," said the Dutch international. "Out of them all, Frenkie de Jong was the best – he was amazing. If things don’t work out at Barcelona, he still has something else to do!"

When it comes to experience on the EA SPORTS FIFA circuit, few match 'GodfatherGGG-'. A five-time Grand Finalist who has been playing competitive FIFA since 2009, the 33-year-old represents LA Galaxy at club level as well as USA on the international scene.

The eMLS Cup runner-up has played plenty of stars connected with LA Galaxy but it is club and national team legend Landon Donovan that stands above them all.

"We were at the MLS All-Star game last year and he was my partner in a 2v2. He was pretty good," said 'GodfatherGGG-'. "He didn’t need any guidance, he knew what he was doing and he just went straight in, wanting to win. That’s what competitors do!"

Present at the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 and one of New Zealand’s playing duo at this month’s eNations Cup, 'Honeybadger' is accustomed to taking on the world’s leading players.

You could imagine his surprise, therefore, when he came up against Portugal defender Cedric, currently on loan at Inter Milan from Southampton, in an FUT Champions clash earlier this season.

"A lot of the [English] Premier League guys like playing FIFA," said Honeybadger. "I played Cedric in Champs a while ago, so if he’s matching me in Champs he must be doing quite well! You know it’s him because he had one of those pro player cards where he has a 99 rating of himself and he’s the only person who would have that card."

A two-time Grand Finalist, former Xbox No1 and the Virtual Bundesliga Club Champion 2019, ‘Megabit’ is one of the world’s leading eFootballers. The Werder Bremen man, who is currently ranked in the Xbox top four, has beaten some of the most formidable opponents imaginable. Intriguingly, however, his record against on-field professionals is not as strong as you might expect.

Werder Bremen and Turkey midfielder Nuri Sahin and former Germany goalkeeper-turned-professional wrestler Tim Wiese showed they were forces to be reckoned with when picking up a pad.

"I’ve played a few professionals. Nuri Sahin actually beat me!” ‘Megabit’ revealed. “But we had a rematch and I won. I’ve also played Tim Wiese and I lost to him as well, so my performances against on-field professionals are not that good [laughs] but, in the end, it matters when it comes to tournaments. The best I’ve played for sure is Nuri Sahin, when he played me he deserved to beat me, so he has to be good!”
