A fantastically frenetic FIFA season has come to a conclusion. In the campaign’s curtain-closer, ‘MoAuba’ became the first German to lift the FIFA eWorld Cup™, seeing off formidable opposition in the knockouts before defeating defending champion ‘MsDossary’ in the Final Showdown.

FIFA 19 witnessed the historic introduction of major tournaments such as the eChampions League and the FIFA eNations Cup, where players represented their country in an official capacity for the first time. FIFA.com looks back at this year’s major tournaments and their winners at a glance.

Winners

This year’s FUT Champions Cup competitions were dominated by two juggernauts of FIFA 19: ‘Tekkz’ and ‘MsDossary’. An intriguing rivalry developed over the course of the year and fans were treated to a classic in early April as the two clashed in the Xbox final of the FUT Champions Cup in London.

Though Xbox No1 'Tekkz' had claimed three FUT Champions Cup in the campaign going into the encounter, it was 'MsDossary' who emerged victorious in the console decider before getting his hands on the trophy with a win against ‘Maestro’ in the cross-console final.

The only player to interrupt the dominance of ‘Tekkz’ and ‘MsDossary’ at the FUT Champions Cup was ‘DullenMike’. At just 16 years of age, the German replaced ‘Tekkz’ as the youngest winner of a FUT Champions Cup with his triumph in January.

A dream team of ‘Tekkz’ and ‘Nicolas99fc’ combined forces at the third FIFA eClub World Cup back in February under the KiNG eSports banner.

Going in as the Xbox and PlayStation No1s, many expected great things of the formidable duo. The hype was well-founded and the pairing stormed to victory in London, seeing off top-class opposition before defeating surprise-package Dijon in the final.

KiNG became the first eSports organisation to take the title, following Brondby's pair of triumphs in the first two editions of the tournament.

The FIFA eNations Cup™ 2019 marked a significant milestone in competitive FIFA. The first competition of its kind, players represented their country in official capacity for the very first time.

With the backing of Member Associations, players competed in national team attire and also stood for the national anthem before matches in the latter stages of the knockouts, adding a whole new dynamic to the world of competitive FIFA.

Twenty nations across six confederations went head to head for global glory in London in April. A France side consisting of ‘DaXe’ and ‘Maestro’ overcame Argentina’s ‘Nicolas99fc’ and ‘Yagocai’ in a fantastic finale which saw Les Bleus crowned the best national team on the planet.

As well as the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup, another major first this season was the introduction of the eChampions League. Sixty-four players initially convened in Manchester in April and that number was narrowed to eight in late May in Madrid ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final.

Bulgaria’s 'DrNightWatch' and USA’s ‘Didychrislito’ navigated through extremely tough ties to book their place in the showpiece decider and it was the latter who emerged victorious. The American, who represents New York City FC at club level, then got to parade the trophy at Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano before kick off at the Champions League final.

Excitement, drama and plenty of goals - the crème de la crème of competitive FIFA gathered at The O2 in London, as the curtain closed on the competitive EA SPORTS FIFA 19 season with the marquee event: the FIFA eWorld Cup™.

Thirty-two players were narrowed down to one after three action-packed days in the British capital. ‘MoAuba’ made a little bit of history by becoming the first German Grand Final winner, seeing off the top three-ranked PlayStation players in the knockouts before defeating defending champion ‘MsDossary’.

The Werder Bremen man won a staggering cash prize of USD 250,000 and a trip to The Best FIFA Football Awards.
