FIFA to launch new-look magazine

FIFA is launching a new-look magazine on Friday, 29 January 2016 to replace The FIFA Weekly.

Titled FIFA 1904 – a nod to the year in which world football’s governing body was founded – the monthly magazine will contain more in-depth stories and interviews over 68 pages compared to its predecessor, a 40-page publication which was produced weekly over the last two years.

The magazine will cover news and stories about football from around the world, with a particular focus on how FIFA works to promote and grow the game worldwide through development projects and activities, through competitions and events and through the empowerment of its member associations.

The global football community is invited to join us in reliving the emotions that our game awakens in fans worldwide. With FIFA 1904, you can keep your finger on the pulse of international football’s new horizons.

The magazine will be provided in printed format to the football community including confederations and member associations, with an online version also being available to fans for free. In addition, an app for smartphones and tablets is currently being finalised and is expected to be ready by March. FIFA 1904 will be available in FIFA’s four official languages: English, French, German and Spanish. A preview will go out to the media one day prior to the publication of each edition.
