The University of South Africa (UNISA) has launched the second edition of the FIFA/CIES 'e-learning' Programme of Sport Management.

This Programme is organised within the framework of the FIFA initiative 'Win in Africa, with Africa' and is aimed at all the English-speaking countries of the African continent. It allows students to familiarize themselves with modern tools of sport management. In this respect, Luciano Cadoni, who attended the first edition, says: "With this programme, I am 'putting theory' to a lot of things that I learnt in a practical way over the last 3 years. Consequently, this course will be extremely beneficial for my current and future sports management career." Wergele McKenzie, another student, adds: "The Programme is extremely useful because it exposes me to 'real life scenarios' and case studies, enhances specific skills and broadens my horizon and network."

More than 80 students (of which 30 per cent come from other African countries), will take part in the 2009-2010 edition. CIES is delighted with the excellent reputation of the Programme on the African continent thanks to the efficient work done by UNISA and its other partner universities (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa, University Cheikh Anta Diop in Senegal and Cairo University in Egypt).
