World football’s governing body has adopted the 2005 Prohibited List International Standard issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Members of the FIFA Sports Medical Committee agreed the new list would replace Appendix A of the current FIFA Doping Control Regulations (edition 2004) and be valid from 1 January 2005.

At the FIFA Executive Committee meeting from 18-19 December 2004 it was decided “If any amendments are made to the WADA List of Prohibited Substances, FIFA will automatically adopt this list once it has been approved by the FIFA Sports Medical Committee.” Click to see 2005 Prohibited List International Standard
