Football fans have only three more days to purchase the remaining FIFA Confederations Cup tickets from one of the six FIFA World Cup arenas before the latest sales phase ends. To date, 622,613 tickets, corresponding to 74.09 per cent of the total inventory, have been sold for the Festival of Champions, which kicks off in Brasilia on 15 June 2013. Tickets can still be purchased until 16.00 CET (11.00 Brasilia time) on 15 May 2013, exclusively through our ticketing page.

Any tickets remaining after 15 May 2013 will be made available during the last-minute sales phase, which will start on 1 June 2013. Fans will then have the opportunity to purchase any remaining tickets either online via ticketing or over the counter at any of the six FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres.

During the last-minute sales phase, bank transfers will no longer be accepted but cash transactions will be possible any of the ticketing centres in Brazil.

“It is tremendous to see that the Brazilian fans have really embraced the Confederations Cup. However, there are still a few matches where tickets are available, including the match for third place in Salvador. We hope, and expect, to achieve strong attendances for all 16 matches, and I believe that this tournament will give teams hoping to qualify for next year’s World Cup a taste of what to expect from the famous Brazilian crowds,” explained Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director and in charge of ticketing.

Anyone who has already bought tickets will be able to collect them as of 29 May 2013 from any of the six FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres, which will be open seven days a week from 10.00 until 18.00 local time. Tickets can be collected up to and including the respective matchday from the ticketing centres. In Rio de Janeiro, tickets can also be collected from the International Airport as well as from the Windsor Hotel Guanabara.

It is important to note that tickets must be collected in person by ticket purchasers, who must present the ID card or passport they used when applying for tickets. This also applies for any discounted tickets, with the respective proof of eligibility also being required.

The ticket design and its special features will be presented at the opening of the Venue Ticketing Centre in Rio de Janeiro on 29 May 2013.
