Spectators at the Germany v Brazil semi-final should be licking their lips in anticipation of another goal-feast if the FIFA Confederations Cup Germany 2005 remains true to the patterns established in the group fixtures.

The venue for Saturday's showdown, Nuremberg's Frankenstadion, has seen ten goals scored in two games, Argentina's 4-2 victory over Australia and the 2-2 draw between Germany and Argentina.

In contrast the venue for Sunday's semi-final between Argentina and Mexico has been a relative desert in a tournament that has produced 37 goals in 12 games. Only four goals have come from the two games in Hanover making it the least successful stadium in terms of goals scored. At least Mexico will return there with happy memories because it was at the Niedersachsenstadion where they posted their Group B victories over Japan and Brazil.
