Well deserved despite his side's defeat. Ochoa was excellent for El Tri.

It all seemed to be going Mexico’s way tonight, first with Ochoa’s magnificent save and then with Portugal’s subdued second half. But then one of Portugal’s most experienced defenders answered the call, flying in to score and level the game in the 91st minute. Extra time saw one converted penalty and two red cards, an electric end to what was otherwise a fairly drab match. Portugal proved yet again that, for all their faults, this team has the appetite and physical capacity to go the distance.
You could point out that they came three minutes away from the victory, but in the end Mexico deserved that defeat. Portugal were the better side throughout and if it wasn't for Ochoa the European champions might have equalised earlier. Still, some encouraging individual performances by Chicharito, Vela and captain Rafa Marquez mean that El Tri can take some positives from the match.
