Nelsinho, Kashiwa Reysol coach
We had a few problems at the start but in the second half we made changes and altered our tactics, allowing us to apply more pressure. We were solid in defence and always dangerous on the counter. You always need a bit of luck in penalty shoot-outs, but I think we deserved the win. Everyone is expecting Barcelona and Santos to contest the final of this competition. Santos will obviously be favourites against us - they have a strong team with some great individual players - but we definitely have a chance. The planning for that match begins now.

Victor Vucetic, Monterrey coach
The teams were evenly matched throughout. We played aggressively in the first half but unfortunately were unable to score a goal. Penalties are always a bit of a lottery. Kashiwa played well. They're physically very robust and technically adroit. It was a useful experience for us to play at this tournament. We'll be approaching the match for fifth place in a professional manner.
