FIFA acknowledges Noël Le Graët's resignation as French Football Federation (FFF) President after eleven years at the helm of the organisation, having previously served as Vice-President for six years. “I would like to thank Noël Le Graët for his important contribution on the domestic and international stage over a number of years,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “Mr Le Graët has been an excellent President of the French Football Federation and played a major role in developing French football, be that from the success that Les Bleus enjoyed on the global stage when winning the FIFA World Cup in 2018, or when hosting an unforgettable FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™️. His involvement at FIFA Council level to support the development of the global game has been crucial in creating several new partnerships for FIFA. At national level, he has also made significant strides in supporting the long-term development of football in France, and this has been evident thanks to the best-ever financial results being recorded by the French Football Federation.” As well as his role at FFF and FIFA level, Mr Le Graët chaired EA Guingamp (1972-91 and 2002-11) and helped develop the club from amateur football in the seventh tier of French football to professional status in Ligue 1, and he also served as French Professional League chairman (1991-2000). During his tenure as FFF President, Mr Le Graët was involved in the hosting of the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™ and UEFA EURO 2016, which was also played on French soil.

In May 2019, Mr Le Graët was appointed as a European member of the FIFA Council, and in January 2022, he became the FIFA President’s delegate to the FIFA office in Paris.
