FIFA Global Integrity Programme continues with Concacaf edition

  • 35 member associations from North, Central America and the Caribbean to take part

  • Concacaf workshop begins on 11 August 2021

  • FIFA Global Integrity Programme, developed in collaboration with the UNODC, aims to educate and build integrity capacity across football

Thirty-five member associations from across the Concacaf region will come together this week to begin the third edition of the FIFA Global Integrity Programme, a dedicated integrity initiative designed to improve education and build integrity capacity across football. In the same vein as the previous sessions delivered by FIFA with the AFC and CONMEBOL, the Concacaf instalment will comprise five one-day sessions that will see integrity and anti-corruption experts from FIFA, UNODC, Concacaf and many more share knowledge with integrity officers from across the North, Central America and the Caribbean region. Starting on 11 August, the Concacaf edition will conclude on 15 September. The modules will focus on key topics, including establishing an integrity initiative, reporting mechanisms, competition protection, media strategy, cooperation between stakeholders, best practices and investigations. In line with FIFA’s overall vision of making football truly global and its ongoing commitment to protecting and promoting the integrity of the game, the FIFA Global Integrity Programme is aimed at improving education and building integrity capacity in all 211 member associations by sharing advanced know-how and resources with integrity officers. It also reflects the UNODC’s objective of supporting governments and sports organisations in their efforts to safeguard sport from corruption and crime.
