The newly elected presidents of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Namibia Football Association (NFA), Amaju Pinnick and Frans Mbidi respectively, paid their first visits to FIFA President Blatter at the Home of FIFA in Zurich on Wednesday 18 February 2015.

During separate meetings, Pinnick and Mbidi discussed their plans for the development of football in their countries following their respective elections in September and December of last year.

After a period of internal instability, the NFF is now looking forward to a busy year with its women’s national team preparing for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in Canada, and its youth teams gearing up for the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 and U-17 World Cups.

The NFA, which successfully hosted the 2014 CAF African Women’s Championship, is currently planning various development projects including the implementation of a technical centre and a Football Turf pitch. A FIFA development mission is set to visit the country in March.
