FIFA President to visit Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan

FIFA President Blatter will on Monday 24 March 2014, embark on a four-day trip to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

The journey will kick-off in Bishkek where FIFA President Blatter will meet with sporting and political authorities as well as open the Goal project III, which has seen the installation of an artificial turf pitch at Bishkek technical centre. Kyrgyzstan’s fourth Goal project – the national football academy to be built in the southern city of Osh – as well as the funding of a natural football field within the scope of FIFA’s programme for less privileged member associations were recently approved by the Development Committee of world football’s governing body.

The FIFA President will continue his trip on Tuesday in Dushanbe with the inauguration of Tajikistan Football Federation´s Grassroots Year, the unveiling of the Goal project II - artificial turf in Dushanbe Central Stadium - and the stone laying ceremony for the Goal project III on his agenda.

Kazakhstan will mark the end of the journey. In Astana, FIFA President Blatter will address the XXXVIIII Ordinary UEFA Congress.
