On Thursday 23 February 2012, around 90 children enjoyed an unforgettable day out at Home of FIFA in Zurich. The young players from 13 nations across three continents, whose clubs are contesting the Swiss Masters Aargau U-11 indoor football tournament in Brunegg this weekend, visited the headquarters of world football’s governing body, where they were greeted with brief welcome speeches in their respective national tongues.

The group then watched a series of films illustrating the colourful world of football and FIFA’s activities around the globe, before the youngsters proceeded to the highlight of their special day, a personal welcome from FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter himself. "It is a joy and a privilege to have delegations from all over the world as our guests here at Home of FIFA. A very warm welcome to all participants in the Swiss Masters, and I wish you all the best of success,” said Blatter, before posing for group photographs with the kids and club officials.

The youngsters were visibly thrilled by their special experience. "Coming here today has been just incredible," beamed 11-year-old Corey from English club Luton Town. Just as excited was his team-mate Joe, who summed it by saying: "We’ve seen the FIFA President and the World Cup trophy. Wow, what a fantastic day!"
