FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter and FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke lead a FIFA delegation which received Santiago Fisas Ayxela, Member of the Culture and Education Committee of the European Parliament and Rapporteur on Sport, this week at the Home of FIFA in Zurich.

During his visit, Mr Fisas met with several members of the FIFA administration and discussed important subjects such as the protection of minors, the fight against irregular and illegal betting in football, the system of players’ agents, FIFA’s grassroots programme, the anti-doping policy of the football world governing body, and was introduced to FIFA’s Transfer Matching System.

“We are pleased with our common views on many sport and football related topics”, said President Blatter.

“The meetings were very fruitful and help us have a better understanding of FIFA’s initiatives in areas of common interest”, said Mr Fisas.
