Officials from top German club SV Werder Bremen paid a brief visit to the Home of FIFA while on a business trip to Zurich. After concluding an 11-year extension to their partnership with Swiss-based marketing specialists Infront, the Bremen delegation, headed by Chief Executive Officer Jurgen L. Born and Managing Director (professional football) Klaus Allofs joined an Infront team led by Executive Director Gunter Netzer on a visit to FIFA’s Zurichberg headquarters.

FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter welcomed the German visitors with a brief overview of the history of world football’s governing body. In a friendly and productive atmosphere, the parties then discussed current topics of interest in world football. The FIFA President specifically praised Werder Bremen’s approach to the debate over Brazil international Diego’s participation in the Olympic Football Tournament. “The manner and tone of Bremen’s statements showed real class," commented Blatter, adding: ”That was Fair Play."

The delegation then briefly toured the Home of FIFA. A visibly impressed Born thanked the FIFA President for the warm reception extended to the visitors from north Germany: “We are exceptionally proud at the opportunity to be here."

In the evening, the Bremen officials travelled on to Monaco for Thursday’s draw for the UEFA Champions League group stage.
