New meeting place for the FIFA Executive Committee: for the first time in its history, the "board of directors" of world football's governing body will meet at the new Home of FIFA.  The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ and related projects, as well as deliberations on the new Code of Ethics, will be key points on the agenda for the one-day meeting to be held in Zurich on 15 September.

The FIFA Executive Committee, chaired by President Joseph S. Blatter, will be meeting for the first time since the successful conclusion of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ in Germany. FIFA's flagship event, including the 2010 competition in South Africa and various related projects, will be the subject of reports, discussions and decisions. The "Win in Africa with Africa" initiative, which will run alongside the 2010 World Cup, is now taking shape and the "FIFA Fund for a Better World" requires ratification.

Following on from the 56th FIFA Congress in Munich, the FIFA Executive Committee will also discuss how to implement the various decisions passed by football's "parliament". One key point will be the ratification of the new Code of Ethics to regulate the composition, purpose and duties of the new FIFA Ethics Committee, the creation of which was approved in Munich. The FIFA President will also deliver a report on the continued activities of FIFA's Task Force "For the Good of the Game".

In other matters, the committee will discuss a number of pending or closed cases relating to FIFA's member associations, and will deliberate on other legal and sports-political matters.

Nigeria's Dr Amos Adamu will sit on the FIFA Executive Committee for the first time, representing the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in place of Ismaïl Bhamjee (Botswana), who recently stepped down from his duties.

Note to the media: Following the meeting, a media conference will be held in the Home of FIFA's auditorium at 16.00, with FIFA President Blatter and General Secretary Urs Linsi announcing the committee's decisions.  Accreditation is not required.  The media conference will also be streamed on
