Newly elected head of Hellenic Football Federation meets with the FIFA President

  • Panagiotis Baltakos visits Gianni Infantino in Paris

  • Elected EPO President earlier this month

  • Meeting included discussion on football globally

The newly elected president of the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), Panagiotis Baltakos, said he is looking forward to a close relationship with FIFA as he paid a visit to Gianni Infantino in Paris following an invitation from the FIFA President. "I wanted to tell Mr. Infantino that we will collaborate with FIFA in Greece and we can help whatever he wants to do globally, and we will support FIFA as FIFA supports us," said Mr. Baltakos who was elected at the start of June.

A lawyer by profession, Mr Baltakos has had a long involvement with Greek football, working as a legal counsel for the Greek Professional Football League. He added that he also wanted to listen to the FIFA President's views on football around the world. "There are some topics which I wanted to discuss with him, which I did, and also to have his view on football globally, which also I had the opportunity to hear," he said.
