Former Chelsea and Italy footballer Gianfranco Zola attends a photocall
Former Chelsea and Italy footballer Gianfranco Zola attends a photocall at the West Ham football ground in east London on September 11, 2008. Gianfranco Zola promised to give West Ham's players "all of my experience and knowledge" after becoming the east London club's first foreign manager here Thursday. The former Italy striker, who made his name in English football during a seven-year spell as a forward with the Hammers' London rivals Chelsea, succeeded Alan Curbishley, who resigned in protest at the Premier League side's transfer policy.
