England midfielder Paul Gascoigne celebrates scoring the superb goal which sealed a 2-0 win over Scotland at UEFA EURO 1996. The Three Lions were 1-0 up but under pressure when the Gazza ran on to a pass forward, dinked the ball over Colin Hendry and volleyed it past his Rangers team-mate Andy Goram and into the back of the net. England beat Netherlands 4-1 to advance to the knockout stage as Group A winners and overcame Spain on penalties in the last eight, before losing to Germany on spot-kicks in the semi-finals.
