England's U-21 side came from behind on Tuesday to edge Slovenia 2-1 in a friendly international at Hull's KC Stadium, Micah Richards and captain James Milner on target.

Stuart Pearce's side had trailed to an Etien Velikonja goal after just 11, minutes but Richards levelled from close-range finish in the 25th minute and ten minutes later Newcastle midfielder Milner scored what proved the winner with a low drive. Slovenia suffered a further blow when striker Nejc Pecnik was sent off in the 63rd minute.

England's seniors are in action on Wednesday at Wembley against the Czech Republic.
