Sean St Ledger has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly in Serbia.

The defender has been forced to withdraw due to a knee problem suffered during Leicester City's pre-season clash with Burton Albion.

West Ham United's Joey O'Brien has been called up by coach Giovanni Trapattoni as St Ledger's replacement for the game in Belgrade on 15 August.
