USA to face Mexico in August
USA will try to avenge their loss to Mexico in last month's CONCACAF Gold Cup final when they host their rivals in a friendly at Philadelphia on 10 August, which was announced by the US Soccer Federation.
The Mexicans won their second consecutive Gold Cup crown two weeks ago by beating the Americans 4-2 in the final at the Rose Bowl in California, in front a crowd of more than 93,000.
"These types of games are great experiences for our players, and we look forward to the challenge."
The match will set the stage for two more friendlies in September, with the Americans hosting Costa Rica on 2 September in Los Angeles, and visiting Belgium in Brussels four days later.
