Ghana defeated Congo 3-1 to move clear at the top of Group I in today's only 2012 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
All the goals arrived in a frantic last half-hour, with Issac Vorsah and Prince Tagoe initially giving Ghana a 2-0 lead.
Fabrice N'Guessi pulled a goal back, but Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu ensured victory for the hosts.
The result leaves Ghana three points ahead of Sudan, who play third-placed Swaziland on Sunday. Congo trail the latter by two points at the foot of the group.
