Chinese held at home by New Zealand
China PR got off to a dream start when Du Wei forced goalkeeper Glen Moss into action with a glancing header. Moss parried the effort but the ball hit Boyens and flew into the net.
The hosts continued to attack with Yu Dabao powering a long-range shot against the post ten minutes later.
China PR suffered a setback after half an hour when goalkeeper Zeng Cheng was forced off injured after denying Chris Wood when the latter was clean through.
The visitors scored the equaliser shortly after the break when McGlinchey collected a pass from Chris Killen before steering the ball past substitute goalkeeper Cheng Yuelei with a low shot.
The hosts then squandered two golden opportunities with Moss making two spectacular saves to deny Yu and Deng Zhuoxiang.
Yu got on the end of a well delivered cross midway through the second period only for Moss to make an excellent reflex save.
At the other end, Cheng did excellently to palm out Killen's close-range effort before, four minutes from time, Deng evaded New Zealand's offside trap but could not beat Moss.
