FC Twente midfielder Theo Janssen has pulled out of the Netherlands squad for their UEFA EURO 2012 double-header against Hungary because of a knee injury.

The 29-year-old scored both goals in yesterday's 2-0 win over Excelsior but played with a bandaged knee during the second half before being substituted 10 minutes from time.

Janssen is the second player to pull out of the squad following the withdrawal of Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben with a groin injury.

Coach Bert van Marwijk will consider calling up replacements today, with the Netherlands taking on Hungary in Budapest on Friday before facing the same opposition in Amsterdam four days later.

The Oranje top qualifying Group E, three points ahead of the Hungarians.
