De Jong handed Dutch recall
Van Marwijk dropped the Manchester City player last October following his challenge on Newcastle's Hatem Ben Arfa, which left the midfielder with a double leg break. The decision saw De Jong miss the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying wins over Moldova and Sweden, but he has now been given another chance in the national team.
Arjen Robben has not been included with Van Marwijk giving the Bayern Munich man more time to recover from a lengthy injury absence. "Arjen and I have talked extensively and we both believe he needs more time to completely return to his former level," the coach said.
Luuk de Jong and Kevin Strootman were handed their first international call-ups for the clash with Austria in Eindhoven on 9 February.
