Armenia routed Andorra to pick up their second win in Group B of the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifiers.
Gevorg Ghazaryan, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Yura Movsisyan and Marcos Pinheiro Pizelli all got on the scoresheet in a one-sided affair in which Armenia might have scored more.
They served notice of what was to come when Sargis Hovsepyan headed against the crossbar in the second minute, and two minutes later, they were ahead as Ghazaryan finished from close range. The Armenians continued to pile on the pressure as Movsisyan forced Josep Anton Gomez into a good save before Pizelli's shot was held. But there was nothing the goalkeeper could do in the 16th minute when Mkhitaryan fired home.
The one-way traffic continued and Gomez was kept extremely busy, making a good save to parry away Pizelli's effort from the edge of the area. But it was 3-0 just after the half-hour mark when Movsisyan beat him from close range.
The visitors made it to half-time without conceding again, but Armenia made clear their intention to keep pushing early in the second half as Pizelli struck the post from just outside the area. He got his goal in the 52nd minute, latching on to Mkhitaryan's pass before firing left-footed past Gomez from the edge of the box. Gomez then held Artur Yedigarian before Edigaryan fired wide.
Andorra's only chance of any kind came in the 74th minute, but Marcus Bernaus sent his free-kick over the crossbar from the edge of the area. Mkhitaryan had two chances to add to Armenia's lead, but saw his first shot blocked before firing over in injury time.
