Israel and Georgia maintained their unbeaten starts to UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group F with a goalless draw in Tbilisi this evening.

Luis Fernandez's Israel side started their campaign with a 3-1 home win over Malta on Thursday thanks to a hat-trick from captain Yossi Benayoun, but were unable to break down a stubborn Georgia defence at the Boris Paichadze National Stadium.

Lior Refaelov tested Nukri Revishvili just before half-time but the Georgia goalkeeper was equal to his effort.

For Georgia, it was a second successive draw after they opened with a 1-1 result against 2004 European champions Greece in Piraeus on Friday.

The hosts came closest to scoring when Gogita Gogua's free-kick smashed against the bar.

Israel goalkeeper Dudu Aouate had to be alert to deny substitute Giorgi Merebashvili and Zurab Khizanishvili in the second half as the match ended in stalemate.
