Greece consolidate top spot, Wales win again
Greece consolidated their position at the top of Group Nine of UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying with a 2-1 win away to neighbours Macedonia today.
Anastasios Papazoglou netted an 80th-minute winner for the visitors after Dimitrios Siovas' 39th-minute opener had been cancelled out by Daniel Georgievski's 64th-minute strike.
Elsewhere, Hal Robson-Kanu scored the only goal as Wales beat Hungary 1-0 in Group Three. Robson-Kanu struck after 68 minutes as Wales claimed their fifth win from seven matches to lead the group by three points from Italy. Andras Debreceni was sent off for two bookable offences for the hosts.
Croatia sit top of Group Seven following a 2-2 draw with fierce rivals Serbia. Ivan Perisic scored after 12 and 31 minutes for Croatia after Stefan Scepovic had fired the hosts into a third-minute lead. But Filip Duricic equalised in stoppage time for Serbia to deny Croatia a sixth win of the qualifying campaign.
In Group One, Latvia won 1-0 in Andorra and Moldova beat Faroe Islands 1-0, while in Group 10 Azerbaijan claimed a 3-2 home win over Albania.
