Cho calls on Kim and Suk
Korea Republic coach Cho Kwang-Rae has recalled midfielder Kim Do-Heon and handed a first call-up to young Ajax striker Suk Hyun-Jun for the 7 September friendly against Iran in Seoul.
Cho, whose side defeated Nigeria 2-1 earlier this month in his first game in charge, named 14 overseas players in his squad of 23 as Korea continue preparations for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
Suwon Bluewings midfielder Kim is included for the first time since February while 19-year-old Suk could make his international debut along with defender Kim Ju-Young from Gyeongnam FC. "I called Kim as we will need players of his ability and experience at the Asian Cup," Cho said. "Iran will be a good test for us and we are expecting a tough match."
English Premier League stars Lee Chung-Yong of Bolton and Manchester United's Park Ji-Sung will make the long trip east from Europe as well Celtic's Cha Du-Ri and Ki Sung-Yong, and Park Chu-Young of Monaco.
