Cho Kwang-Rae's first squad as South Korea coach for the 11 August friendly with Nigeria in Suwon is a mixture of youth and experience.
Thirteen of the squad which drew 2-2 with Nigeria at the FIFA World Cup™ - a result that saw the Taeguk Warriors edge out the Africans to qualify from Group B - have been selected in the 25-man party, with Cho also naming six uncapped players.
Three European players, Park Ji-Sung of Manchester United, Monaco's Park Chu-Young and Celtic's Ki Sung-Yueng, have also been included but Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong will stay in England.
"I talked to Lee by phone yesterday," Cho said. "He is still getting back into pre-season training and requested more time. He promised to be ready for the next match.
Young stars such as Kim Min-Woo, Park Joo-Ho and Yoon Bitgaram will get a chance to impress Cho, who was appointed earlier this month after Huh Jung-Moo stepped down.
