Qatar shared an entertaining draw with the Democratic Republic of Congo in an international friendly played in Paris.

The match was the last of three games for Bruno Metsu's Qatar team on European soil following losses against Croatia and Macedonia last week.

Congo were the better side early on and opened the scoring after 37 minutes when striker Marcel Kimemba Mbayo followed up to fire home after having his initial shot saved by Qassem Burhan.

Qatar levelled after 59 minutes when Ali Afif found the target, but Qatar's joy lasted for only six minutes as Mbayo restored Congo DR's lead from a spot-kick.

Qatar secured a share of the spoils with 15 minutes remaining when substitute Majed Mohamad converted.
