Tim Cahill and Lucas Neill have been left out of Australia's 24-man squad for next week's friendly against Korea Republic in Seoul.

Neill is out of contract after his deal with West Ham expired over the summer, while Everton midfielder Cahill, who scored twice in this month's win over Republic of Ireland, is believed to have made himself unavailable for the 5 September meeting in the Korean capital.

Galatasaray's Harry Kewell is named in the squad despite a recent injury, while striker Josh Kennedy is also included despite missing Nagoya Grampus' J.League match at the weekend also through injury.

Vince Grella made his first appearance of the season for Blackburn Rovers in last night's Carling Cup second-round win over Gillingham and has also been named by coach Pim Verbeek although team-mate Brett Emerton has been overlooked.

Michael Beauchamp, Mark Milligan, Michael Petkovic and Shane Stefanutto have also been recalled, while Nikita Rukavytsya has again been selected after making his senior international debut against the Irish. Kilmarnock's Danny Invincibile, yet to make his debut, also keeps his place in the squad after missing the chance to play against Ireland due to a back injury.

Both Australia and Korea Republic have already secured their places at next year's FIFA World Cup™ finals in South Africa. In their last meeting, the South Koreans recorded a 1-0 win at the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup.
