Chile's all-time record goalscorer Marcelo Salas netted a hat-trick in his last-ever match in Santiago last night.
The former Lazio and Juventus striker, who scored 37 international goals and played in the 1998 FIFA World Cup™ in France, organised the match between former Chile players and a 'Friends of Salas' team.
Former team-mates like Ivan Zamarano, Paolo Montero and David Trezeguet were involved, with every player sporting the number 11 on their shirts in honour of Salas.
"This is a very special moment. I only want to thank everybody who came to this match. I will never forget this night," Salas, 34, said.
"I quit happy. I am done. I only have words of thanks for everybody."
