Pepe injury hurts Real
Real Madrid defender Pepe will be sidelined for up to a month, due to the leg-muscle strain he picked up during his side's defeat by Getafe at the weekend.
"After having magnetic resonance imaging, the Portuguese defender was diagnosed with a Grade I-II left quadriceps injury that will keep him sidelined for between three and four weeks," a club statement read.
The 25-year-old was one of three Real players injured during the 3-1 loss. Dutch international playmaker Wesley Sneijder, 24, picked up a hamstring strain, while Spanish defender Miguel Torres strained a thigh muscle.
Sneijder and Torres are expected to be out for two and three weeks respectively.
All three will players will miss Real's UEFA Champions League match at home to Zenit on 10 December.
