Celtic captain Stephen McManus has warned his team-mates to forget about Manchester United, and focus on Saturday's match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Glasgow giants face the UEFA Champions League winners at Old Trafford next Tuesday, but on Saturday they have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League, with Rangers' game against Dundee United postponed.
"We're all looking forward to Old Trafford but Inverness is the priority. We are top of the league and don't want to throw it away now," said McManus. "It's a hard venue to go to, although our results have been decent there over the years. But that counts for nothing on Saturday, we need to go there and get a good result. Then we can we start thinking about Europe.
"We'll enjoy Tuesday, it's the sort of occasion you dream about when you are younger. But at Celtic you can never afford to let your standards drop. Tuesday will take care of itself but Saturday is vital. We have a bit of momentum going and we need to keep that up. You just want to be playing games and I'm looking forward to every one between now and Christmas - not just Manchester United."
Cally boost
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan will be without striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink for the next two matches after he was injured in their win against Hamilton. Inverness have been boosted by the news that captain Grant Munro has signed a two-year extension to his contract this week.
Rangers match against Dundee United at Ibrox has been postponed following the death of the Tannadice club's chairman Eddie Thompson. The 67-year-old died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.
In Saturday's other matches, there is a battle at the bottom as Falkirk host Aberdeen. Jimmy Calderwood will be hoping basement club Aberdeen can halt their horrendous run of five league defeats in a row. John Hughes will have defender Dean Holden and midfielder Arnau Riera available again after injury.
St Mirren make the trip to Hamilton knowing that a win would see them leapfrog their hosts in the league. Kilmarnock take on Motherwell at Rugby Park looking to hold on to third place, but Mark McGhee's men will be hoping to make it three league wins in a row in Ayrshire.
The Edinburgh derby takes place on Sunday as Hibernian welcome fierce rivals Hearts to Easter Road. The capital clubs clash for the first time this season, with Hibs sitting one point above their rivals in the table.
