Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has been suspended for three matches following his red card against Catania on Saturday, a sporting judge has confirmed.

The Ghanaian was sent off for an elbow at the end of the first half, one which left his opponent with a small cut on his lip.

Muntari joined Inter from Portsmouth, who he helped win the English FA Cup, during the close season.
