Sommeil stable after heart attack
Valenciennes defender David Sommeil is in a stable condition after suffering a heart attack while training this week, a spokesman for the French first division club has said.
The 34-year-old player collapsed during a training session on Wednesday.
"There's no particular development, David Sommeil is still unconscious, even if there are some positive elements, such as the fact that he has good reflexes," the spokesman said.
Sommeil formerly played for Caen, Rennes, Bordeaux and Manchester City before arriving at Valenciennes last season.
