West Bromwich Albion have signed Spanish midfielder Borja Valero from Real Mallorca for a club record £4.7 million.
The 23-year-old agreed a four-year contract after passing a medical, the Premier League club confirmed on its official website.
Albion manager Tony Mowbray believes Valero will be a perfect fit for his side's passing game.
"I'm delighted to welcome Borja to the club. From a footballing point of view he possesses many of the attributes I like in a player," Mowbray said.
"Borja can link up the play from back to front and he will enhance the excellent midfield options we already possess."
