AC Milan veteran Filippo Inzaghi will not go under the knife to cure a hernia until the end of the season, his club said on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old striker, the record scorer in European competition history, will instead undergo physiotherapy until the season's end.
That means he will be available for Milan's crucial run-in as they try to claw back a four-point deficit on fourth-placed Fiorentina and the final UEFA Champions League qualification position.
Inzaghi and Brazilian world player of the year Kaka both took part in light training in Milan's indoor gym on Tuesday and either or both could be fit for Sunday's clash against Atalanta.
