Nagoya Grampus pulled off a 2-0 upset victory over Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds in the J-League on Saturday to give their new Serbian coach Dragan Stojkovic his first win. Norwegian forward Frode Johnsen opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a header after he was set up by Brazilian midfielder Magnum, and Yoshizumi Ogawa sealed the victory in the 69th minute.

"I'm very, very happy because it's my first win as a coach, so it's a little bit of a special game. Especially against Urawa, who are one of the strongest teams in Japan and also in Asia," said Stojkovic.

"I think we played very well and controlled most of the game, so personally, I'm very, very happy. This game will stay in my mind for all of my life," added the Serbian, who scored 57 goals for Nagoya from 1994 to 2001.

"We lost our concentration temporarily in the first half. That's why we lost. We were able to play better in the second half and we hit several shots on goal," said Urawa's German coach Holger Osieck.

"Then we gave them a goal like a Christmas gift. We couldn't recover from the 0-2 down," he added. It was a second defeat in two league games for last year's FIFA Club World Cup bronze medalists.
