This week, have your say on the 2007/08 Premier League in
England. Who will lift the trophy in May of next year and why?
FIFA.com has decided to give fans even more of a say. Every
week, the official FIFA website will throw a subject out for
discussion; a topic that supporters are all talking about. Then it
is up to you to get the debate going. Footballing principles apply
of course: play fair and keep it clean and sensible.
Our latest topic is the destination of the Premier League
trophy. Arsenal currently lead the way on 22 points, two clear of
holders Manchester United and three above Manchester City.
Fourth-placed Liverpool sit on 16, with 2004/05 and 2005/06
champions Chelsea a further point back in seventh.
Arsenal and Liverpool have a game in hand on their rivals and remain the only unbeaten sides in the division. The Gunners' fast start has been indebted to the form of Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor, while Fernando Torres has made a positive impression alongside Steven Gerrard for the Reds.
The other three leading contenders are not short on potential
title-winners of their own. During the summer, the Red Devils added
Carlos Tevez to a squad already including Cristiano Ronaldo and
Wayne Rooney, while the pick of their cross-city rivals' summer
signings, Brazilian playmaker Elano, has been one of the Premier
League's leading performers so far this season. For their part,
the Blues can always rely on Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba for
goals.
The question is: who will reign supreme? Will one of the four
pre-season favourites - namely Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and
Manchester United - take home the prize, or can Manchester City or
another dark horse spring a surprise?
It is over to you. Click below on 'add your comment' and have your say.
