Garrido joins City revolution
Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson made Real Sociedad defender Javier Garrido his fifth signing on Thursday.
City paid £1.5 million for Garrido, 22, who agreed a four-year contract with the Premiership club.
The former England coach, who has already brought Rolando Bianchi, Martin Petrov, Gelson Fernandes and Geovanni to Eastlands, is planning at least three more signings that would make City one of the Premiership's biggest close-season spenders.
Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov is close to a £6 million move, while Dinamo Zagreb defender Vedran Corluka and Brazil playmaker Elano from Shakhtar Donetsk are also on the Swede's shopping list.
