A Ronaldinho double has helped Atletico Mineiro to a 5-2 win over Argentinian side Arsenal Sarandi as they kept up their perfect record in the Copa Libertadores.

The Brazil forward added a 14th-minute penalty to Diego Tardelli's opener and though Diego Braghieri pulled a goal back before half-time, there was no way back for Arsenal. Luan and Ronaldinho made it 4-1 and Alecsandro rounded off the scoring late on after Dario Benedetto's consolation.

Atletico have a maximum 15 points going into their final group three match against fellow Brazilians Sao Paulo in two weeks, when even a draw would guarantee them the best record in the group stage.

Another Brazilian side, Corinthians, and Mexico's Tijuana both qualified from group five with a game to spare. Corinthians overcame the altitude in Bogota to beat Millonarios 1-0, Danilo scoring the only goal early in the second half.  Tijuana were able to prolong their first ever participation in the tournament into the last-16 stage after a 1-1 draw with San Jose. They took the lead through Fidel Martinez but had to settle for a point after Marcelo Gomes' equaliser.

Boca Juniors moved to the top of group 1 after a 1-0 win over Ecuadorian side Barcelona. Nicolas Blandi's eighth-minute goal earned the Argentinian side their first home win in this season's competition, but they had a fortunate escape late on when Barcelona were denied a clear penalty following Matias Caruzzo's foul on Damian Diaz.

Boca coach Carlos Bianchi said: "We played a very good first half. We played good football and were close to scoring again. After the break we left too many spaces and they got control of the ball but they didn't pose a threat in our box, while we did it in every counter-attack."

The result means that if Uruguay's Nacional beat Mexico's Toluca, both Nacional and Boca will secure their passport to the round of 16. Brian Rodriguez scored a hat-trick to give Chilean side Huachipato a 4-0 win over Venezuela's Caracas which lifted them from last to first in a tight group eight.

Federico Falcone scored the other goal as Huachipato moved alongside Fluminense on seven points, while Caracas and Gremio have six.
