The Montreal Impact held on for a 2-1 victory in their all-Canadian clash with Toronto FC to make it three wins out of three at the start of the Major League Soccer season.
The Impact were two goals up at the break thanks to Patrice Bernier's penalty in the 34th minute and Marco Di Vaio's effort on the stroke of half-time. Robbie Earnshaw pulled one back from the spot in the 68th minute, but Toronto could not find an equaliser.
