Morelia and Cruz Azul battled out a 3-3 draw in an entertaining opening game of the 2013 Clausura on Friday.

Morelia, took twice tool the lead through Jefferson Montero (2) and Hector Mancilla (28), but Javier Orozco (24) and Luis Amaranto Perea (44) ensured the teams went in level at half-time.

Orozco scored his second just before the hour to put his side ahead for the first time before Rodrigo Salinas equalised in the 73rd minute.

Cruz Azul, who like their opponents were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the Apertura play-offs, finished the match with 10 men as Alejandro Vela was dismissed a minute before the end.
