St Gallen extend advantage at the summit
St Gallen opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Swiss Super League with a 2-0 win at FC Zurich.
Ezequiel Scarione put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute and Dzengis Cavusevic made the points safe 10 minutes into the second half.
The win moved St Gallen further clear of second-placed Grasshoppers, who have a game in hand.
Basle closed to within two points of FC Sion after beating the third-placed side 4-1.
Philipp Degen scored twice, either side of a leveller from Gennaro Gattuso, while Valentin Stocker and Gaston Sauro added further strikes.
In the night's other game Lausanne Sports won 1-0 at Servette.
Chris Malonga scored the winner in the 25th minute and Lausanne held on despite having Nicolas Marazzi sent off five minutes after the break.
