A La Liga match between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid was delayed and then rescheduled because of an electrical fault. Kick-off was due to begin at 21.30 (19.30 GMT) at the Estadio de Vallecas but fans were still waiting to enter the stadium because of the problem, which has left the pitch without floodlights.
Vallecano president Raul Martin Presa has told the Spanish media that a suspicious act may have taken place. "We're trying to fix the problem as soon as possible. We have asked security to open the gates to the stadium but we are waiting. The police are investigating the incident."
Match referee David Fernandez Borbalan must now decide whether the match can go ahead, with reports suggesting it could be postponed until tomorrow evening.
Vallecano had been set a deadline of 22.00 local time to fix the fault but that hour came and went without any progress being made. It was later announced the match has been rescheduled for tomorrow evening with a 20.00 (18.00 GMT) kick-off.
