Evergrande widen gap, Guoan slip up
Guangzhou Evergrande established a seven-point lead at the top of the Chinese Super League after battling to a hard-fought 2-1 win at Henan Jianye.
Xuri Zhao fired the leaders in front on eight minutes before Xu Yang levelled after 28 minutes, but Lucas Barrios' strike in the 64th minute ensured victory for the visitors.
Third-placed Beijing Guoan fell off the pace of the leaders as they went down to a 2-0 defeat at home by Hangzhou Greentown, with Marcelino (13) and Renatinho (81) scoring the goals.
Peter Utaka hit a hat-trick as Dalian Aerbin ran out 5-2 winners against Shandong Luneng. Utaka netted on the stroke of the half-time and twice in the second half, while Yu Dabao (22) and Fabio Rochemback (76) also found the target. Wang Yongpo (62) and Du Wei (68) replied for Shandong.
